View On Black

This is Gordon, i think that's how he pronounced it. He was in town from Austin, Texas with another band mate. They were hanging out in the loop enjoying beautiful "pre-storm" weather.

Gordon said they were in a band called Torrent. I could not find their info on-line but I gave him a moo card so I hope he finds his pic and posts a link.

I was riding my bike around today and met two lovely young ladies today! Both were so friendly and willing to take photos. I couldn't have asked for better subjects :D

This is Ximena . She and her friend Anna were enjoying the weather. Both are from Mexico and spoke mostly Spanish.

I had to ask Ximena how to spell her name a few times before I decided to just save it to my phone.

Major Wayne AKA Goldenchild

This young man was hanging out at the Metra station. He said he was an upcoming Rap Star and said that I could "maybe" do his album cover. He was a great subject and allowed me to take several photos.

His name is Major Wayne AKA Goldenchild. He said that Kayne West did a track for his album. I wanted to hear his music and check out his Myspace page but I could not find it! Unfortunately there are a lot of other rappers that are using the same or similar names. Hopefully he sees this and sends me his Myspace link.

Apollo

Apollo, originally uploaded by Subject is too Cute.

Young boy with his dog Apollo. I spoke briefly with a group of teens and this boy who said their dog was a 2 year old pure breed American Bull Dog. The teens were walking around what was once known as the Cabrini Green Projects. Most of the area is full of new Town Houses and one (still standing) CHA building.

Crime has decreased in the area with the exception of aggressive children that seem to have little or no parental guidance.

The boy in the photo was responsible and well mannered. He was properly picking up after his dog and was nice enough to pose for a pic.

This is Jim the train conductor. He was sitting with many other conductors in front of Union Station checking out the eye candy at Rush Hour. Not a bad thing to do on nice days in Chicago! Coors Light Girls

Coors Light Girls, originally uploaded by Subject is too Cute.

I met these Coors Light girls yesterday at the Cactus Bar - They challenged me to a contest about sports trivia and I won a t-shirt !

I was chatting with the girl on the left - I loved her black hair. I asked her why she was wearing an athletic type top and shorts with stiletto heels. She laughed and said she didn't want to talk about it. I feel bad for these pretty girls. I guess their boss made them wear the heels...

The heels looked very non-comfy. They would have been equally as beautiful with athletic shoes.

Jack and Jill

Jack and Jill, originally uploaded by Subject is too Cute.

Jack and Jill went up the hill
To fetch a pail of water.
Jack fell down and broke his crown,
And Jill came tumbling after.

Up Jack got and home did trot
As fast as he could caper;
And went to bed and covered his head
In vinegar and brown paper.

When Jill came in how she did grin
To see Jack's paper plaster;
Mother vexed, did whip her next,
For causing Jack's disaster.

Now Jack did laugh and Jill did cry
But her tears did soon abate;
Then Jill did say that they should play
At see-saw across the gate.

Stranger Photo number 46. I told her I loved her hat. She said she loved my tie. I was drunk. I don't remember her name :P It's hard to remember names as it is ...not to mention when I'm intoxicated.

Well, I'm sure I'll run into her again. I love the Chicago Art's District! It's in my old neighborhood Pilsen.

Reagle Beagle

Stranger Photo number 45. This was taken at the Reagle Beagle - yes, named after the bar in Three's Company - I met up with my cousin and some friends. Ray ( i think, I was a bit intoxicated ) is on the right ...he took several photos of us at our table with my camera - in turn I took one of him and his compadre.

The bar was nice enough - a lot of photos from old tv shows like CHIPS and Welcome back Kotter - the major problem was that they ran out of Coronas! How do you run out of Coronas!??

Alaricia (right) and Friend

These lovely ladies were walking down Michigan Ave. with their hoods on but I caught a glimpse of the orange and asked to see their hair.

They were nice enough to pose but did not speak much English.

The girl on the right said they were from Italy and that her name was Alarisa. The girl on the left was less social than Alarisa and did not answer when I introduced myself and asked for her name.

Also gave them Moo Cards - hope they enjoy their photo :D

Agatha from Austin,Texas

I met Agatha in Oak Park tonight. I noticed her hair at first then she pulled out a camera and took a picture of some multicolored lights. This made it easier for me to approach her.

She was walking behind what appeared to be her sister and her mother ( an elderly woman ).

As I took her photo she said "Austin, Texas" without me asking where she was from. That threw me off. I tried to make some small talk and asked her if how she liked Ohio so far. She corrected me since we were in Oak Park, IL at the moment. Guess I was nervous.

I'll be honest, this challenge has been harder for me than I expected. I feel odd approaching people sometimes - and sometimes it's really easy.

I expect people to have the reaction I would have - like - "who the f are you?" I don't blame people for being suspicious about a stranger asking them for a photo.

So that trepidation has caused me to keep my mouth shut when many prospects pass by.

Sid Haig aka Captain Spaulding

Sig Haig is probably the most famous actor in the horror business these days. He plays the crazy clown in a few of Rob Zombie's movies.

His IMBD movie list goes all the way back to 1960 something where he played a character in The Fugitive. He was also on the original Batman tv show.

I asked him for a quick photo and he said to make it quick! This is a pose not a threat.

This is Photo will get me lots of props from any fellow horror fan!

Dave Tango n Steve Gonsalves

Yah! Steve and Tango - Tango is on the Left - Steve is on the Right! Two of my favorite ghost hunters from TAPS! I caught them in the hotel lobby on their way out. I made it to the Fangoria Weekend of Horrors very late and did not get to see them speak on stage. They were also signing autographs but you needed a weekend pass. I was disappointed until I saw them leaving and they stopped for a photo.

They are as nice as they seem on television. I told them that I could not wait for new episodes because Ghost Hunters International was not "doing it" for me. They laughed and Tango said he agreed.

It's great when someone you know via television turns out to be nice in real life.

Eileen Daly

Eileen Daly, originally uploaded by Subject is too Cute.

I use her full name because she is an (English actress) and is used to the Google Effect. I have seen her in a few cult flicks. She has this Morticia look - and it's not a costume - just her natural self...

Ms. Eileen Daly was a pleasure. She is a very feminine woman. She was sitting in the hotel lobby with a friend passing time when she caught a breeze from the front door. She jumped up from her seat and moved away.

I love subjects that ask you how you would like them to pose. I don't usually have requests so I go for natural. She asked me to take of her standing up ( which I did ) but I think I like this one better :)

This young man introduced himself as Acid. I asked him who Acid was and he went into this story about a psychopathic killer that escapes from a mental institute and kills more people and gets acid on his face ( hence the name ). He told me that this character was from a that he wrote. I think he was a little too "into" his character.

I later saw him drinking a bottle of Miller Lite. He didn't sound old enough to drink but he had a special pass so maybe I was wrong.

Kimberly

Kimberly, originally uploaded by Subject is too Cute.

My boys and I met Kimberly and her beautiful daughter while waiting to go home today. Her baby was so cute and happy. She kept pulling on my older son's jacket and laughing when he turned around. She was very aggressive, but in a sweet way.

Before we met this Momma and Baby I was very tired and not in photography mode. I actually had to leave my Nikon in the car in the morning because I forgot to bring the battery (it was charging). I had my Kodak with me though - and I had no intentions of taking anyone's photo until I started talking to Kimberly. I took their photo and she took ours with her Camera Phone.

Kimberly's first date took her to a Monster Truck show in Colorado Springs. She said she couldn't hear for a week after that. I asked if it was the date's idea and she said no it was his mother's. Kimberly had just gotten back from a weekend in Wisconsin where she was driving snowmobiles with friends.

Kimberly rides motorcycles. She rides behind her partner's bike and does tricks. Her partner has a Ninja - style racing bike. I asked her if she rides with those bikers that take over the entire expressway and she laughed and nodded. She wears a special jacket that's connected to the bike. If there is an accident it blows up like an airbag.

After helping her on the train ( she had lots of bags and that cute baby ) I told the boys to let her have some space and we sat in the back. My son's were so in love with the baby they kept wanting to go sit with them. We actually should have.

As we were leaving Kimberly said that if we saw them again we should not be strangers. I replied that if I saw her again I wanted it to be on her bike. She said their bike was the color of her top and so was her tattoo...

Well of course I asked about the Tattoo and wondered where it was. She pointed behind her back and said " you know " and I was like oh yeah. Then she said I'll show you. She quickly pulled out her camera phone and scrolled down to a photo. She knew we were about to get off but wanted to show me....

and....wow....

Man, I really regret not sitting with her :P

He seemed friendly enough while asking some other guys for a light. He asked them for directions and he was walking away so I followed in hopes of catching up.

While walking ahead of me his hat flew off ( Windy City Chicago ) and I bent over to help him catch it - he caught it in time. He was being sold a free copy of the Onion by a homeless person and when he was done I told him about the Flickr group and he told me to "Go for it" I also let him know he was my 25th Photo and he was willing to pose as directed - What a Great Guy!

They looked so good together. It was cute to see them holding hands going around the rink. Almost like teenagers in love. The both seem to have very strong souls.

A very friendly couple with no problem taking photos.

Veronica caught my eye at first. a Turquoise shirt with a white hoody sweater. She had huge gold earrings and a sexy neck tattoo. I'm sure it was Milton's in cursive.

She would be a great study. I dream of having a studio in which I can have photo sessions with incredible people.

WCW / WWF Wrestler Virgil

I vaguely remember Virgil from his days as a wrestler for WWF ( now WWE ). It was sad to see him at a small table - alone with no visitors. I hate to see any former star doing this but I guess everyone needs to make money whatever way they can.

He asked me if I wanted an autograph and I asked about the price. He was charging $20.00 - I passed on that. I told him money was tight and he agreed. I told him that my wife was a big wrestling fan but I did recognize Bret Hart in one of the photos on his table.

Would he ever wrestle again? He said not unless they had a huge medical insurance agreement.

I asked him about his experience with Vince McMahon and he said that he was a smart man. I then said that Vince McMahon reminded me of my boss. They are both very direct and straight to the point. Virgil advised me that McMahon "Makes about 500 million a year and he could put your boss in his back pocket"

Virgil agreed to take a photo but it seemed like he really would rather just get paid.

I remember April's name because she gave me one of her calendars :P

The Loop 97.9 had a tent up and were letting kids play Guitar Hero. When I picked up some stickers and freebies I was advised of April's autograph signing session at 6:00 p.m.

I watched her stroll down the line of cars to the tent for her signing. She was very tall! She had to be at least 6.2 - maybe it was her boots. She took a lot of pics with goofy guys and when it was my turn I just asked for a rock sign. She had to think about it at first but gave me this pose :P

She signed my calendar "You're so sweet! Love you Forever! Axxx" too bad I'll never be able to hang this up in my house :P

Motorcycle Model, originally uploaded by Subject is too Cute.

This is Tiffany ( I'm sure that's her real name) I met her at the "World of Wheels" - As you can tell she has posed before :P

I thought I would hit the jackpot at this event but a lot of the models refused to have their photos taken. They explained that they had problems in the past with their images being used inappropriately.

For the first time I was asked for cards. I have to get them soon. I was wondering when this would happen. I saw some great Cameras at the show too. These were in the hands of the Press - but now I know what I'm gonna treat myself with when I get my bonus :P

Tiffany was reluctant at first but then warmed up when I chatted with her for a bit. "What is this for?" For me..and my Flickr account I explained. She asked the tent ( they were set up in a tent ) manager if it was ok and she asked me where I wanted her to stand. I choose in front of one of the bikes but I really just wanted a nice profile.
